Remembering Innocence

Updated on August 26, 2011

What is innocence? We are at each moment innocent. We speak and act how to know and how to do. When I think of innocence, I think of my 4 year old daughter who is full of happiness, joy and love. Each moment is excitement from learning how to dress to writing the letter B for the first time. My 10 year old says playing is his meditation. What an important lesson is that? Sometimes I become so caught up in the world or work, I forget how to play. To feel innocent to me was opening up to vulnerability that presents such beauty yet such fear. I let go. Allow myself to remember this innocence. When did life have to become so serious? Where is the play? When you open to this world take caution. One heartbeat is beauty and the next pain. I offer no resistance. Innocence is love of life as it is.

Writing is a great way to find that innocence...let the imagination roam free without a care and see where it ends up and with what. Then all you have to do is share it! Thanks much for becoming my 600th follower! WB
