On April 26, 2019, Japan’s first monster museum, “Yumoto Hoichi Memorial Japanese Monster Museum,” was opened in three cities in Hiroshima. About 5,000 items related to monsters, including 絵巻・锦絵, books, tools, toys, etc., were displayed. The biggest donor is from the monster researcher Yumoto Hoichi. The relationship between the three cities and the monsters originated from the monster legend of the Edo period, "The Rice Creature", and the stage of the "Rice Creature" story is three times. "Mountain City, Dabu Dangerous Monster Village" in Sancheng City, Miyoshi City, Tokushima Prefecture, was named the Monster Village because it "discovered" the "Grandfather Grandfather" in the prototype of Shuimu Mao.

The most well-known sight of the monster sightseeing spot is the hometown of the monster that appeared in the "Yoshino Monogatari" by the folklorist Yanagida Mano - Tono City, Iwate Prefecture.

The reason why Fukusaki-cho has a "Fairy Castle God Festival" is because in April 2013, the then government officials proposed: "Can you turn the Kappa upside down to make the water in the pond clean?" In February of the following year, a portrait of a river boy jumping out of the lotus pond was also set up.
Starting from this, the "National Monster Model Competition" was held, and the monster image selected as the most outstanding prize was also set in the park. As a result of the increase in these sightseeing projects, the number of visitors from Fukuzaki Town has increased from approximately 248,000 in 2013 to approximately 415,000 in 2016.
Although it is related to the founder of folklore, the popularity of Fukuzaki is not high compared with Tono, but because of the introduction of some monster-related statues, the visual thorns are provoked, leading tourists to the city of monsters. "The understanding has suddenly improved."

How does "monster culture" go deep into the folk

The legend of Kawashima’s Kappa was originally closely related to the flood. The Chikugo River, which flows through the city of Kurume, has been built since the early days.
Chikugo River is also a river with rapid currents. Because it has changed overnight, it has the title of “One Night Sichuan”. Legend has it that this is God's change, and people have created a god of water. After that, the belief in the god of water was divided, and the belief in the river boy was born.
In 2017, heavy rains in northern Kyushu and heavy rains in western Japan in 2018 caused huge losses in Kurume. The JR line, which was originally opened in the three cities where the Third Ghost Museum was located, was temporarily suspended.
