Self awareness and your shadow

Updated on June 16, 2010

What do you see in your shadow?

An interesting shadow. What do you see?

I thought the flat haircut and glasses looked strikingly similar to duke nukem! :)

Another sensory walk, another pretty sight!

During my latest sensory walk in a park I noticed something pretty interesting. Something that I did not pay attention for who knows how many years.

My shadow! It is often there, but I never pay attention to it. Today, I caught myself standing on a wooden bridge, the sun behind me and I glanced at my shadow. It was spectacular. The outline of the body was imposing and my haircut seemed almost flat. The outline of the glasses reminded me of... Duke Nukem. That game is very old, but the image lives on. It was interesting how easy it was to recall something like that.

When I first took the picture, I did not think that the sun's glow around my head may resemble the mushroom cloud in this image. Did my mind know that? I don't know, but the images do bear some resemblance!

Try it. Find your shadow and see what it reminds you of.

A cute turtle!

A cute sunbathing turtle! Plus frogs, goldfish, lots of dragonflies and water striders. Plus bird song. Very relaxing. Why is my mind conjuring images of something nuclear?
