Some men are just so lucky women love them

Updated on January 14, 2009

Why are some men so disarming?

There are men who just stand out in a crowd and it’s not just you who is saying “wow!”.

You wonder why the word “handsome” came into being and certain men are referred to as handsome.

Is it in their face? In their built? In their voice? In their scent? In their intellect? In their gait? In your own hang-ups as viewer and therefore interpreter of what your eyes and brain tell you? Oh there are as many indicators as there are women in the world.

There are men who make your head turn for the third time not because of the way these men’s faces are chiseled but by that “It” factor that only you, the unique you, see in them. For instance, take Antonio Banderas. Some wouldn’t see him as an extraordinary presence. But some will and will even look for a Banderas in the men that they’d like to be with. Is it the energy around which you associate a person with that makes that person so special to you? Or are there factors inside your own internal world that you just can’t define why some men are so disarming? Are the men who disarm you that powerful indeed or is it about the psychological forces within yourself that make some men so special in your eyes?

There are men who don’t make your head turn but make you want to talk to them when you see them. Is it their voice that draws you to them? What’s that “chemistry” that attracts you to them? The human person is so complex you can’t just pinpoint one “drawing in” factor.

Maybe you are familiar with pheromones. These are not just scents found in dogs, cats and other animals. These are also scents found in men. Women don’t emit pheromones. When men perspire they emit pheromones. Perspiration is not known to attract people but ironically, pheromones attract women without their knowing it. The difference between an animal and human pheromone is that in animals they can be detected by fellow animals from a distance, say, a mile away. This is not true with humans. Male attraction is just within a short distance, say, from one door to another door. Perhaps this will explain why “animal attraction” has been coined to explain an attraction that is so fatal the person being attracted gets so helplessly disarmed as to quietly say “Your wish is my command”. Yes, indeed there are men with a great supply of pheromones.

Here’s a link to a site where you’ll see men who will turn your head not once, not thrice but over and over because they seem they came from paradise. Please click the link below for some men who simply stand out in a crowd.

Thanks, countrywomen, for leaving a comment. You are right, it's still the personality of a man that is the source of his "drawing power", his natural body scent included..LOL.

I guess in future when we can transmit smells from computers then even online interactions pheromones would make for a great sale...LOL

But seriously I once saw an ad online about a pop for pheromones and just plain curious if such sprays really do work. To me I still feel it is the personality of a man rather than a few scents emitted that makes the difference. Anyway nice hub and thumbs up.

Thanks, Pam, for sharing your experience about pheromones! I'll wait for your experiment if the scent really works on women.

I've stumbled too on some advertisements in the web about pheromones. I learned the concept from a vet med and since then have been reading on the subject. Having learned that pheromones can "trap" me in a way (LOL), I have been watchful about scents!

Very interesting! I don't know anything about pheromones, but I do have one small experience to share.

My cousin frequently visits yard sales during the warm months, and she always buys things for my daughter. One time she gave my daughter a scent collection from Victoria's Secret. The box had over a dozen different perfumes of different scents, and in the center of the box was a small bottle labled "Pheromones." Now I may not know much about pheromones, but I knew enough to not allow my 14 year old daughter to scent up her body with them! LOL! No sense in arousing animal passion at that age!

My point is that Victoria's Secret has managed to bottle pheromones...supposedly! ;) Maybe I'll try it out and report back to let you know if it really works on women. :D LOL!

Nice of you laringo to leave a comment here. I wrote about pheromones having learned about it from a friend who's a veterinarian but I have yet to explore my knowledge on the topic and share more here.

Thanks, multimastery, for leaving a comment. Honestly, I got the idea of pheromones from a friend who is a veterinaran. About pheromones being sold, I also stumbled on advertisements in the internet that it is indeed being sold here and there. I will look around to learn more and return here to share whatever I find.

Great hub francia! I've heard about pheromones, is it true that it can be sold in a bottle or is that fake? I've seen it being marketed here & there.

I think so, Cris. My colleagues will be laughing when they read this hub. I can hear them say: This is 2009 now indeed!

Nice of you to drop by and leave a comment. Thanks, Elena.

Yes, we'd be so rich indeed if we could package the formula for attraction. But even without the package we can still be rich if we are aligned with the abundance and prosperity mindset.

I like this word "animal attraction". It's so raw and honestly human that the hypocrites out there cannot argue against it.

If we could package the formula for attraction, we'd be rich, wouldn't we? :-)

I like your take on the coining of "animal attraction", it just makes a lot of sense!

Nice of you to read my hub at this time of day! I got these photos of Antonio Banderas, Brad Pit, Tom Cruise, Kevin Costner, et al, from a friend who is based in Ireland. I liked the photos and decided to write a hub about men. I have always been viewed as serious by my colleagues and this time I want them to see that side of me that they seldom see. I love men too, not just communities and organizing processes.

As always, thanks for leaving a comment.

Hmmm I think I'm beginning to see you in an entirely new light! LOL Would I be able to "smell" the pheromones that I emit when I work out? Just curious how it works its wonders, or how it wields its power to disarm - as you put it.

Thanks, I learned something new today! :D
