Space debris: required cleaners

XXI century is characterized by not only the unprecedented progress and the growing awareness that the biosphere of our planet is very fragile. It is subject to threats from both the human impact of technology, and by the natural disasters that occur in space.

  • potential threat to Earth, provoked by the action of microorganisms from meteorites and other space bodies that have reached the Earth's surface.

The threats described above are reminiscent of the "Russian roulette", only with stones, pieces of metal, solar energy and other phenomena that put humanity at great risk. Let us consider in more detail one of these positions - the threat of space debris accumulation.

Near-Earth research have not only positive but also very negative consequences. Since the first artificial satellite to orbit the systematic environmental changes started was launched into Earth orbit.The main problem is the accumulation of artificial space debris, the number of which is constantly multiplied.

There is an artificial space debris (broken spacecraft, satellites, rocket stages and other fragments) and natural (such as meteoroids). Meteoroids arise suddenly from outer space bowels quickly fly past the Earth and often burned in the lower atmosphere. In rare cases, fragments thereof (meteors) reach the surface of our planet. Man-space objects are usually launched from the earth into an orbit for a long time and there may be thousands or even millions of years (in the case of geostationary satellites).
