Sun

You are just one of the stars,

A twinkling candle in the dark,

A Milky Way's bright spot in the night,

Universe's small dot just like a mite.

But you are our life,

Our warmth, our light,

Our hope when darkness comes

Without you we are gone.

You give us rainbows after the rain

You color the leaves deeply green

The red of the roses, the yellow of the posies

are made possible because you rises.

The sea dimples when she sees you

Thundering waves trying to reach you

Watery smiles from her creatures greet you

Her plants and corals as you appear change hues.

Once you disappeared behind clouds for days,

The sky tearful searching for your rays,

The forest silent waiting for your smile,

The birds in the trees twittering, resting for awhile.

Then out you came in full force,

The glory of your rays as if from gold source,

The birds and the bees, the flowers and the trees,

And all of humankind rejoicing, welcoming thee.

Beautiful visuals here make this just delightful to read. I love " The sea dimples when she sees you" , just lovely, and the sky tearful when the sun disappears, raining down tears while the forest waits in silence. Just lovely creative images in words. If this is your first poem, Tenkay, then keep writing as we have many treats to look forward to from you. Thank you for this treat. My votes and best wishes and SHARING!!

Hahaha you are perfectly right, I was lost for words. When I made this hub, I placed the visuals first and then made the poem. The pictures were taken with the hub creation as the objective actually aside from the fact that I just found the sight so beautiful at that moment.

I do need lots of practice, finding the right words for what I visualize, mean and feel.

Thanks a lot for your time. Hubhugs.

Your visuals are magnificent and perfectly match your poem. The only thing I did notice is that at certain points in the poem you seem to be stretching to find certain words, for example the word "thee" at the end. All in all, though, I thought this was quite beautiful.

Hello Kenneth. Thanks for the visit and kind comments.

I was inspired to make this poem when I saw the sunset from a plane hovering over rice paddies while it was preparing for landing. It was so beautiful! I just have to make this poem in remembrance to that sight.

Tulog ako when you called, Joy just told me that I had missed calls from you. Yes, my apt is awesome, I want to invite you...that apt I saw near you was as small as a rat hole, I will get sick there; sorry we are not neighbors but you can drop by in my two-bedroom apt now; you pass this way going home from your workplace, it's in Saint Dominic, JYP Townhouse, just ask the guard, I am in apt number 2. It's furnished like a condominium.
