THE BIRDS-WHY

Updated on January 9, 2011

INTRODUCTION-LET THERE BE LIGHT

Fellow hubbers and other readers I tried to publish this hub with only the section below. This section contains the "light" of my idea on recent bird deaths.

While, like my political hubs, this is my opinion it is based on scientific facts. I don't claim to be the only human capable of postulating a scientific theory on this phenomenon, but I wanted to pass my thoughts along to you with a minimum of verbiage. It seems this is not the forum for doing so.

Here I am writing an introduction and a conclusion so I hopefully have enough verbiage to satisfy the Hub Page Poo Bah requirement for enough content. Remember the message is contained in the  "DISORIENTATION" section. This is the light of my thoughts on the subject!!

DISORIETATION

The recent spate of birds apparently committing suicide has made a splash in many quarters. There are many conspiracy theories circulating as well as many inane explanations that really don't make much sense.

I saw a story this morning that is a possible explanation of this bird mystery.

It seems the magnetic North pole is shifting about 40 miles/year towards Russia. Since birds use this magnetic orientation for navigation this shift in the Earth's magnetic field may well be responsible for the "mysterious" bird deaths being observed worldwide.

That it short but sweet!!!!!!!!!!

CONCLUSION-MAGNETIC FIELD SHIFT

I will once again repeat the Light of my theory!!!!

THE RECENT BIRD DEATHS ARE DUE TO THE SHIFT IF EARTH'S MAGNETIC FIELD IN MY HUMBLE OPINION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From the reports of the birds in Arkansas, they died of blunt force trauma, or in other words they flied full speed into the ground. I believe it was their confusion due to shifting poles that caused this.

But would that be enough for death?

The shifting of poles for ultimate pole reversal causes instances of wide fluctuation in field strength of Earth's magnetic field. I think that during these times the animals that use this for navigation would be literally and figuratively "lost" and bewildered.

Interesting theory. But it's been proven that animals sense changes and tend to migrate away from impending weather changes. So why wouldn't the birds do what they always do in extreme weather?

I believ I heard that runways at the Nashville Airport had to be shutdown while the new compass orientation was applied to them. The shift had finally impacted a 10 degree error in the markings. If the birds can sense it and they must, the effect must be a weird one. I wonder if it has any impact on dolphins? WB

Tom, Soviets worked on magnetic fields a lot. They wanted to control weather on West as a weapon. What do you think, Tom?

Since Russian changed the coats it does not mean they changed the hearts.

      Harvey,

Magnetic strength of the poles is in constant flux. The fact that it happened last Century doesn't let magnetic strength off the hook.

I blame it on the global warming theorist. The birds were told that we are warming up, so they did not go as far south. Then with the warm day, on the 30th (65-76), they headed north, then when the next day turned cold (below freezing) the birds froze.

They global warming theorist are to blame for lying to the birds. How dare they!!! Murderers.

No, to a serious fact. It was very warm (70;s) in Missour on the 30th, for I was in Branson, and was driving home that day. On the 31st, the wind change from the south, and come from the north, and dropped really fast in temperature. No one has mentioned this any where. I have a feeling this had something to do with it.

      Keep on hubbing!

The original theory of New Years Eve fire works made sense before I knew it was world wide occurrance. I think the magnetic fields make sense for now.

Just think if the seagulls of the California shoreline rained down or the pigeons of NYC, what a multitude of birds that would be.

Tom didn't read, are these migratory fowl? or just a breed that hangs year round? To me that would make a huge difference in what future occurrences we might see, 50

Tom, you've got a good scientific explanation but I love a good conspiracy theory that the government is behind instead; or will it be blamed on God and end time events, by the christian crowd of doom?

      FlorMoppr,

The blunt force trauma suffered by the bird is explained by the diving into the ground. I know of no association between this trauma and microwaves. I was wondering about ultrasonic waves but the magnetic field shift satisfies my curiosity for now.

      Than you for your comment!!!!!!!!

In autopsy, the birds' internal organs appeared traumatized. Outwardly, the birds showed no injury. This sounds like microwaves. Is this an experiment in microwave warfare that's coming from satellites?

Interesting. I'd also read that tarballs are appearing on beaches along the Gulf Coast so I thought they were getting into oil. Had forgotten about the 'shift' that would mess up their directionals. Glad you restated that information. To continue msorensson's query, do you think the fish would also be effected by that shift?

Interesting thoughts. Obviously the government will tell us what to think about the dead birds soon enough. In the mean time, let us study our pocket constitutions to find verbiage granting Congress to the authority to study birdies and fishes.
