My husband is an amateur genealogist, and it never stops amazing me how much mystery a person can find in American history, especially black American history. Because of slavery and how violent and horrible it was in the years after slavery, we are all more interrelated than anyone knows but much of it has been kept secret and lost. Great hub, thanks!

Dr. Carver hired a lawyer to track down Moses Carver when he was 90 years old. He had moved to Kansas to live with relatives. Dr. Carver sent him a pair of pants during this time and he was wearing them when he died. Look at Prince Harry and his red hair and the claim his father was not Prince Charles -- only DNA can answer some questions about paternity.
