The Milk of Human Kindness Seen

Updated on December 7, 2013

More Than Skin Deep

There is a treasure buried on the inside of us,

that lies deep within our souls,

Greater value it has, more than golden bars,

in a defining of all our life's roles.

With all of the diamonds and rubies in their sum,

are as ruble, to be compared,

Its brilliance and its beauty are held there,

and at last with all, is to be shared.

Its presence there in times, to be revealed,

by those in bravery, enough to dare,

A demonstration of that spirit, in bursting forth,

in the showing that we all do care.

It's more than skin deep, in its meanings strong,

and a heartfelt message sent.

Not mistaking a love, in a masking way,

but in its pure essence of what is meant.

The spiritual self portrait that we're painting,

displaying to the world who we are,

Being more than flesh and blood machines,

our intellects not drawn from the tar.

The Milk of Human Kindness, of us all,

and as members of the vast human race,

Makes the difference in every existence then,

to establish, our universal place.

Great work. You clearly put a lot of thought and time into this hub.
