The Personlity Traits of a Libra
Libra is the seventh sign of the Zodiac and runs from 23 September to 22 October. She is depicted by the scales, often seen in the depiction of Lady Justice. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that Libra is known as the “just” star sign. Interestingly enough, it is also the only star sign that is depicted by an inanimate object.
Libras will search for harmony and balance in all that they do. They strive for peace and calm, as well as perfection. This can, at times, make them slightly bossy. Everything they undertake, they do to achieve this balanced perfection, the yin and yang of their lives and the lives of their friends, but they sometimes fail to understand that other people will enjoy chaos to a degree.
Libra’s Likes and Dislikes
Yearning for balance and perfection, Libras enjoy classical music, fine art, philosophy, intellectual conversations and debates, gifts and subtle colours. They become irritated if confronted with loud noises, dirt, pressure to make a decision, criticism or if they are rushed. After all, you cannot achieve perfection by taking a spontaneous decision.

Libra and Jobs
Libras enjoy careers in which they can show their beauty and express calmness. Acting careers, particularly in dramatic costume and period dramas, are highly suited to the Libra. They are also very suited to jobs that work with minds, such as psychologists or therapists.
And, of course, Libras make excellent judges. Perhaps less suited to be a solicitor, as they would have to fight the case of someone who is potentially guilty, being a judge is more than likely to be a Libras ultimate career. To physically be able to hold the scales of justice in their hands would be the ultimate honour for them. Of course, a Libra would consider him or herself to be the best possible judge.
One other career that is extremely suited to a Libra is interior decorating. Libras would bring balance and harmony into a home and often instinctively know about Feng Shui.
Libras aren’t well suited to Aries. Aries are often self-absorbed and care little for the needs of others. Although the Libra is able to take care of themselves, they will not feel good about Aries not caring about the balance between other people and this relationship is not likely to be harmonious.
Libras are almost perfectly matched to the Gemini. Geminis share the same emotional and intellectual power as Libras. Libras enjoy nothing more than a good debate (NOT argument!) and need someone that can match their intellect, as well as being able to word their feelings clearly. Gemini is potentially the only sign in the Zodiac that is as able to do this.
Libra is also quite compatible with Leo. However, Leo’s strength can be addictive and Libra might lose sight of him or herself, depending solely on the strength of Leo. This is not an equal balance and could therefore fail easily, leaving Libra an emotional wreck.
