This is an interesting hub. Neither of us wears red very often - but we both own red handbags (purses to an American) as they add colour to a neutral outfit. And red shoes - what fun.

RedElf, years ago I did Color Analysis - telling people what colors went with their skin, hair, eyes, etc. I found out that the winter solors were the best for me. Red is a winter color - I was thrilled. I have been wearing shades of red all my life, now I was told that it was right for me. Of course, if it had been wrong I would have accessorized to the hilt with red. The color somehow draws me.

Too cool! What an nifty hub, Gal. I love almost all shades of red, particularly in flowers, but can only wear certain shades, so I use it more to accessorize.

Peggy W. red is my favorite color - I wonder what that says about me. I like to wear it but draw the line at painting my walls with it. Like you I believe it's a little too much of a good thing.

I did not realize all the many positive as well as negative connotations when it comes to the color red. I know that I like it in clothing and flowers but wouldn't want to live with the color red painted on one of our home walls. That might be a bit much! Good job! Voted useful, up and interesting.
