The Temperature Are Increasing Day By Day On Account Of Greenhouse Effect

Updated on February 1, 2013

Greenhouse effect is a dangerous reactive type of effect that acts upon our nature violently. Greenhouse effect causes natural imbalance. It is extremely harmful to living creatures on earth. The progress of modern science is somewhat responsible for this effect.

Greenhouse Effect :

The concept of greenhouse effect is evolved from the greenhouse which actually means a glass house built to protect trees from cold air. As these green house are made of glass, they trap the sunlight and does not let it escape. This trapped sunlight keeps the interior of the house hot for the tree to prepare food. In the atmosphere, a similar thing takes place where carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, which are known as the greenhouse gases, cause the greenhouse effect. Due to various reasons these two gases are increasing in the air. The two gases effect the ozone layer and allows more of the sunlight to enter the atmosphere leaving no way for it to escape. This increased heat is not only causing an imbalance in our ecology, but also melting the ice of the polar region, raising the sea level.

Causes :

There are many causes of greenhouse effects. The deforestation and burning down of the tropical forests, rapid growth of unplanned industries, overpopulation, increase of temperature etc. are causative factors of greenhouse effect. Over population is a problem for any country. They need additional things for their survival. They need to cut down trees to built their houses, furniture, boats, fuel etc. Thus we are losing our forests and trees. It causes natural imbalance. The use of various chemicals in mills and factories has a great effect on our environment. Besides, these mills and factories emit black smoke and pollute the air. Thus deforestation, the rapid growth of unplanned industries, the use of "Chlorofluorocarbon"(CFCs) in packaging and manufacturing chemical products etc. produce huge amount of carbon dioxide gas which acts as the main agent of greenhouse effect.

Its Harmful Effect :

In the recent years it has been noticed that the world temperatures are increasing day by day. This increase in global warming is caused by the increased amount of carbon dioxide gas around the earth. Like the glass houses for the plants in the western cold countries, our atmosphere is guarded by ozone layer which resists the entrance of ultra violet ray from the sun. But recently deforestation, development of unplanned industries, added number of engine vehicles etc. are increasing the amount of carbon dioxide gas. As a result, carbon dioxide is making a hole in the ozone layer. For this, heat from the sun is directly entering into the earth but getting no way to escape. If such condition goes on for a long time, the world would be hotter. There will be drought throughout the world. There will be an increase in violent storm. The rivers will overflow their banks causing frequent floods. Agriculture, forestry and fishery will seriously be damaged. Greenhouse effects make the climate warm. So, the ice in the arctic region would be melting. Many island, cities near the sea will go under water.

Have you take any step against Greenhouse Effect?

Remedy :

To prevent the adverse effects of greenhouse necessary steps should be taken immediately. People should not be allowed to cut down trees, because trees play an important role in fighting against the greenhouse effect. Trees takes carbon dioxide and release oxygen. This helps to restore ecological balance and restore the damage in the ozone layer. But unfortunately, due to deforestation trees are not enough at the moment in our planet to create a balance in the environment. So people should be advised to plant more trees in accordance with their capability. Campaign for tree plantation should be continued. Mills and factories should be set up in a very planned way. There should be effective drainage systems to pass away waste materials and poisonous chemicals.

The climate to the world is undergoing a significant change. The temperatures are increasing day by day on account of greenhouse effect. Unless the causes of the greenhouse effect are controlled, many creatures on earth will be on the verge of extinction. So measures should be taken to prevent such an undesirable situation.

If they were increasing day by day we should be on fire by now.

No, because there isn't any unusual global warming.

Man has many thing to do with it. We cutting down our trees, using motor vehicle that exhale much carbon-dioxide, hunting animals in a large number that imbalanced our ecosystem, polluting our canal, river, sea...

I've heard it all before; we're freezing, we're burning up, we're running out of oil. Never will the dooms-dayers quit. Climate fluctuations are normal. Of course it's getting warmer, we're coming off of an ice age. None of the predictions for global warming have come true, and the ones that were given for already happening were false, at least the major disaster ones. Yes, some glaciers are retreating, they're supposed to at the end of an ice age. Some are growing though. It's just a cycle. Man has nothing to do with it.

great article I did not know a bunch about the greenhouse effect but I learned a lot here. Thank you. voted up

Yes, global warming is a serious problem in how it is affecting Climate Change and what this is doing to various parts of the world. Where I live it is making rain events more severe, but it is making our winters milder.

The gases in our atmosphere hovering layer after layer more from jets daily, yet we has issues with Solar Tsunami's

more on the way right now, may cause world type magnetic

issues to disable communication, worldly blackouts also could ignite our skies fill full of fire like paintings from Mayan Predictions, lots of heat is escaping through our ozone layers as well, Polar bears losing their glaciers rapidly.

Good hub, Breathing. You do understand. I wrote a hub where I mentioned Bangladesh "Flooding, Flooding, and more Flooding" You might also want to check my hub "Out of Control Development." Again, my friend, good hub. Thank you.
