Oprah Winfrey

The talk show Goddess Oprah has shown the world that a woman can also be as powerful and even much more influential then a man can or has been in times of the past. She has made history as one of the richest most powerful women of all time when it comes to assets, fortunes, money, status, and fame. This lady is someone that many of the women of the world look up to, and admire as a role model to follow. She is a humanitarian, and knows how to help those in need, and did so elegantly on her show, before she decided to pull the curtains on it, and retire from being a talk show host.

The Oprah Winfrey show was one of the most popular television shows of all time, and she earned a huge global recognition for her integral emotionally impacted moments on it, use of her intelligible gift of gab and powers of integrity as well as good moral judgement with real world women's issues. Her flair for encouraging women worldwide to be proud of being a woman, as well as her prowess on her TV stage, has inspired millions of people around the world. Her outstanding impressive television performances landed her in history as the one that changed talk show fame forever, and she herself is a world super power today.

Hi @Kathleen, sorry for my typo in that other response to your comment, oh yes I'm so glad you accepted my comment I left for you. I know that everyone will feel the way they choose about certain things in life especially subjects of interest, and so I'm not here to bust anyone's chops, or bubble myself.

This is why I handled your comment the way I did, and I'm truly here to meet cool folks like yourself, who aren't afraid of being real behind these glass screens, and say it as it is, as you've so eloquently done.

I respect you for your honesty, and thanks for returning to leave me yet another cool comment. For me sharing on hubpages is the primal purpose and goal I have truly achieved in my short time span and experiences here, and so I'm so happy to have met yet another awesome person to potentially share with in the community.

I can tell of such a thing about you (The awesome aspect), by your demeanor of how you replied back to me, and it was so sensible, thoughtful and urges me to want to get into reading your hubs as well.

Until then we will chat for sure once again, and hopefully next time its me leaving you a cool comment, after reading one of your awesome hubs you've written.

Thanks for being so open to other opinions. Let me just clarify. I think Oprah has contributed a huge amount to our society through the consistent quality of her work. I just think too many "wannabes" followed her after she opened the door to topics that put a spotlight on the outrageous and absurd. She usually did it well. Others that have come along since, haven't always.

It's good to meet you as well. I'll watch for more of your hubs.

Hellow Kathleen, you are definitely entitled to your own opinion here, and I respect it, but I will not accept such a comment as efficient enough to put down the likes of Oprah's accomplishments, and I can't agree with you about her being the reason why talk shows are full of junk today or TV for that matter, because there are and have been some pretty horrible shows out there that played an ever worst role when it all boils down to it.

However, thanks for your insight here, and it was well received by me, and I'm sure many other folks will have conflicting points of view and perspective on that very particular aspect of things, dealing with Oprah in general and her TV talk show.

Thank you for sharing with me and for giving my hub here a chance, I have many more planned in the work, so lets see if you choose to read any others that is, how you feel about them as well & what ever the case may be.

Cheers to awesome hub writing! and its nice to have met you on hubpages.

Interesting hub. I must say, I love Oprah. I love her strength and her character. But, having said that, I must lay at her doorstep the introduction of bizaar features in talk shows. Before her these shows featured public figures and authors with a new book to promote and the occasional movie star. She opened the door to every crazy who ever wanted an audience and in they flooded the airways. I love her, but she's the one who changed daytime TV into the junk it is full of today. Sorry.

Hey @epigramman lol, that's funny man I would try to do a series on them, but it would take forever because there's over 220,000 hubbers here, and I may have only met about 1% of them thus far, and judging by the fact that my total number of comments is in the same range as well.

In any event thanks for your support her on my hub and for visiting the other two, you are one of a kind indeed Epi, there's no doubt about that.

@shiningirisheyes, my mother has taught me to learn to appreciate the women of this world, and this is what has urged me to give such credit where it is well over due. Without women and mothers we wouldn't have humanity, there would be none of us to write about.

So this is my way of saying thanks to all those who've besides creating families of their own, have managed to go the extra yard for us all, and to let the world know that there is hope for us all.

Thanks you for supporting this hub, and I always love your comments you leave me, they are always so encouraging.

I also thought I would share with you that I learned about Susan B Anthony when we would pass the home she buit for women. My mother explained sho she was and from that day on, whenever we drove by I would stare in awe at the lady who stood when no other women had the courage to.

I love this! It is not only well-written, it is a fun read. I grew up reading a lot of history - mainly about strong women, which is probably why I am a bit head-strong. I would love to see pieces about Helen Keller, Clara Barton, and Florence Nightengale - well-known women who greatly influenced our society. Thanks for this article.
