Water Is Essential To Life

Updated on November 18, 2014

I made a drastic mistake the other day. I made coffee from water that came straight from the faucet. It tasted fine but later my stomach hurt and I was on the toilet for hours upon hours. I thought I would die.

The problem of bad drinking water is all over the world. I see gallons and gallons of clean drinking water sold in stores everyday.

It bothers me terribly when I see polluted water channels such as rivers, lakes and ponds. What are people thinking when they put trash or pump chemicals or sewage into these? We claim as mankind that we are so smart and wise but we do these stupidities.

Water is our life-force. Do we care about our future generations. There is a book that has been published for many years that explains the importance of water. Here are some quotes from it:

The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

You care for the land and water it;
you enrich it abundantly.
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,
for so you have ordained it.

You drench its furrows
and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers
and bless its crops.

Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

As you can see and read, water is essential. The Bible makes it very clear that water is essential and that God's living Water is the most important of all; the Holy Spirit.

God was frustrated with mankind at one time and used water to devastate the land. God said He would never do that again. Why? Because we will use water to destroy ourselves.

People, we can change this deadly course. Stop polluting the water. At some point, the filters will not stop the poison from seeping thru.

By polluting the water, we are polluting our bodies. Realize this: Your brain is 85% water and your bones are 15% water. So the water you ingest could pollute you.

Take a look at these photographs and tell me why; why would mankind do such a thing?

Polluted Water

Country Upon Country

There used to be just certain countries where the water was bad. It is everywhere now. Yes, even the United States.

Can we reverse it? May God help us.

If all of us try to help, I have faith we can clean this mess up. Are you willing?

Let's help the future generations and clean up the water! Follow the links and learn:

      Its awful what man made pollution has done to our water ways. Really great hub, pics to turn your stomach. Its interesting how old scripture points out the importance of water long before it ever was an issue in the modern day sense. Thanks for sharing the info!

      Fantastic hub with just the right amount of disturbing photographs. Perhaps the most frightening visual of all, though, was you on the toilet making it like Mount St. Helen's...woww. I'm not a huge fan of tap water, but that is horrible, Greg!

      As always, your links are superb as well. And even though the "average guy" running for Chief Executive doesn't have a football's chance in (nf)L of the Dolphins winning the Super Bowl (or even a lousy game), I'm going to write you in as Prez...
