What Is One

Updated on July 2, 2017

Inner Peace

Summary:

An ongoing feeling of emotional loneliness is not pleasant. Enjoy being who you are! Find out just what the power of one can do.

Intro:

The following is a poem I wrote many years ago. It was written at a time when I was feeling very lonely and wrestling with a lot of negative thoughts about myself. Thoughts that I had not a significant other. The thought that although I had friends/family I still felt totally alone. The thought that I could see life going on all around me and yet I felt lost and invisible. So, as one, what's my best choice?

ONE

One is a number which can stand all alone. She can stand in the storm of being the only one. One is a number which can reach to highest heights, by soaring into unity with God's almighty might.

One can stand in the desert-sand; searching for an answer, for a helping hand. It can stand among the nothings and feel all the pain-He can stand on holy ground and come in from the rain.

One is a number which is left with no answer for feeling like nothing, being all alone. She can go in deep depressions and into the darkest pit, until the spark within touches the flame and he is lit--With the burning light of the holy fire roaring through his soul. He can rise to the greatest power of oneness with the One's infinite authority and possess the pure divinity of all knowing manifestations. At one with the perfection of truth.

hypnodude: I'm glad that you find this beautiful. Truthfully, after adding it to HP, I thought it was a mistake as I thought it would bring readers down. Anyhooo-I hope you have been enjoying your summer! Thanks for coming again. Peace!

Sometimes it happens to all of us that we feel alone. Actually we can feel alone even in the middle of a crowd. But then usually we remember that we're never really alone. Rated up and beautiful. :)

Hi Support Med, I have been browsing through your Hubs and noted, I've left comments on nearly all of them. Sooooo, instead of leaving a second comment (except for this one) I will rate them into categories. "Useful, funny and all the new ones HP have recently added".

Wishing you a good weekend. :)

JustAVoce: Thanks again. During those times of oneness, it is important that we encourage ourselves, it is then that we do not feel the 'aloneness' of one, rather find strength to continue our jouney in peace and joy.

      Support Med,

I liked this poem. I feel it was very inner directed. I like how you state that one can be very lonely, and at the same time, one is when you can delve deep into your spiritual connection and find truths that might elude you otherwise.

I hope that you have found peace and that one will not always be the lonely number.
