5 reasons the Saturn V Rocket is most Impressive Engineered Vehicle Ever!

Updated on July 3, 2014
Piloting this machine is way cooler than being a rock star. By the way, you might get to walk on the moon!

#5 Perfection is not Improved Upon

The space shuttle design is going back to something reminiscent of my beloved rocket. It has been over 5 decades and we're forced to fundamentally return to the brilliant designs of yesteryear. The Saturn 5 lacked only re-usable booster rockets, just about the only fundamental improvement of the next rocket. Even so, a defense could be made based on economies of scale; the design of the Saturn Rockets occurred at a time when single-use made sense. It was a race against the USSR, after all!

#4 Unique Beauty

The appearance is elegant even though form followed function. The Saturn 1 is just magnificent to behold, we can relate even now so many years later. JFK indeed knew beauty when he saw it!

#3 Raw Power

The sheer power of the rocket beat the ass of earth's gravity once for all ages

#2 Necessity and #1 Quality

NECESSARY: The mission of Apollo 11 needed the Saturn V rocket to become the ultimate in human achievement in almost two millennia.

BIG TIME QUALITY: The scale of the machine is practically unmatched. Amazing such an undertaking actually WORKED. It worked awesome! It has a better record than its successor the infamous Space Shuttle.
