For an employer, what is the most important question you could ask a potential employee?
"On your way here to my office, what did you observe? Is there anything that needs changing? What will you do?"
I will ask these questions. These will show how keen an employee is.
thearbiter0808 , great questions. I also like to ask, "What is your greatest weakness." I find the answers get interesting in how they reply and the body language they present. It is difficult when someone is asked to critique themselves. I am not looking for a right or wrong answer. I want to see how they handle the question.
Good question. I also like the arbiter0808 comment. You always get the standard questions: Tell me about yourself, Why should I hire you, etc. I like to ask a potential employee for an example of a problem they faced at work and how they solve it. It helps me see how quick thinking they are, how they face problems, do they involve other team members, was it a good solution, etc.
