    How true is Astrology?
Is astrology true in predicting future and do you believe in that?

Astrology is pretty inaccurate at predicting futures.  It's honestly just a bunch of unscientific rubbish (at least the human predictions part.)  If anything comes true from its predictions, it's pretty much either a coincidence or potentially a placebo effect.  Then again, why not have fun with it?  Maybe the hope or false insight gained from astronomical predictions will have a psychological effect capable of making a good impression.

Astrology was good enough in some respects for Ronald Reagan, Abe Lincoln, numerous First Ladies, Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Hippocrates, Pythagoras, Carl Jung , and Ben Franklin to just name several notables. When separated from "Sun Signs" and the occult, I believe there may be something to it when cast correctly including favorable and unfavorable times in a person's future.

I try to be open-minded, but I find astrology to be ridiculous. The notion that the appearance (relative to our earthly vantage point at the moment) of suns and galaxies light-years away has any impact on our lives is ludicrous. It is also a fatalistic point of view implying that we lack the ability to impact our lives by our choices.

Plus, how can anyone believe that approximately 600 million people - the number who share each astrological sign - will have the same thing happen to them each day or will have similar personalities? This is just one of many examples to prove that people will believe anything.

If we accept that science - in spite of all its impressive list of achievements - does not have all the answers for all the phenomena, and therefore scientific validation is not the only test of what is true or real, then Astrology is definitely true in the hands of a skilled practitioner.

There are numerous cheats and charlatans among astrologers who help in getting it discredited, but I have come across some very dedicated and brilliant astrologers who provide yeoman service in their own quiet way and in doing so establish the power of astrology. In the hands of such practitioners, astrology can definitely predict the future with such clarity and insight that you are left with no choice but to believe in it.

Astrology is very loosely used to mean everything from the weekly astro column to horoscope readings to tarot cards and crystal ball gazers. I have experience and some understanding of vedic astrology or Indian astrology so what I have said applies to vedic astrolgy specifically and not to the other forms.
