    Here are some of them:

Why do you feel you are qualified for this position?
Why did you apply for this job?
Why did you apply at our school/college/university?
What do you like most about teaching? least?
What would you students say about you?
What would your colleagues say about you?
If you were to get this position, what do you think your major challenges would be?
    Describe your ideal teaching position.
What has been your proudest moment as and teacher and why?
What has been your most discouraging moment as a teacher and why?
Tell us about you teaching style.
Tell us about your experience working with diverse student populations.
How to you accommodate diverse learning styles?
What techniques do you use to motivate students?
What is you definition of learning-centered [or student-centered]?
Tell us about your use of technology both inside and outside the classroom.
How do you see yourself contributing to our institution outside the classroom?
Are you familiar with [our courses, curricula, our facilities, etc., etc.]?  If so, do you have any suggestions for improvements?
How does your non-teaching background prepare you for this position?

Note:  If you are a career changer, rest assured that they will want to know if you applied out of necessity or because of your true love for and commitment to teaching.  There will be questions aimed at helping them learn this.

Advice:  Create a list of everything you want the interviewing committee to know about you.   Make sure it included as of your strengths.  Mentally file that away.  Refer to that mental list before answering each question.

Advice:  Interviewers like examples.  As with the above, mentally file away examples of your teaching experience of which you are proud.  Without being too obvious, work them into your answers.

I taught for awhile. The question I got at every interview without fail was about how I would handle some scenario with a consistently disruptive student.

Here are some questions that I have come across in teaching interviews:

What could you bring to the school?
What would you do if a child disclosed sensitive information to you?
Do you know of any signs of potential abuse to look out for in students?
Why did you become a teacher?
What attracted you to our school in particular?
Give an example of where you have helped a child to progress.

    How do you stay current?
They are looking for memberships to educational sites and periodicals.
    This question usually stumps candidates.

Being involved in the technology department at a school, I've heard this type of question asked:

"How would your plans include the use of new technology such as iPads, Smartboards, and laptops?"
