What was the best tank in World War II?

I think it is primarily a case between the Germans and the Russians. I would argue that the T-34 was a great tank, not only in its performance characteristics, but the actual cost effectiveness of its production. Remember, the Tiger I and II, together, had less than 2000 units built. By comparison, there were 84,000 T-34s built.
