Students graduate from high school who cannot read or write beyond a 5th grade level. When it comes to math, many perform even lower. 70 percent of the U.S. population has some level of college education, compared to 10 percent half a century ago. Shouldn't we be a more highly educated society? Many students spend 10's of thousands of dollars yet are unable to make a living using what they learned. Expense is an obstacle for many, but it is not the problem when you consider that many of those who can afford to pay fall short of expectations. So, what really is wrong with the system?
