   Yes, colors can change the mood of a person. Dark colors affect some people in a negative manner, whereas, lighter colors can increase, or cause an "up-beat" mood.
   This question can be written on and expressed as a hub. There is a lot to this idea of colors and mood change.

   I don't think it can because folks turn to associate colors with scenarios suppose you saw a car accident and blood is all over the place. The time you see something red you think of the incident you saw and that can change your mood... colors no but events does...

   We are programmed to associate certain colors with certain emotions. I was actually thinking about this at work today (I am a sales associate for Walmart). Sale stickers are red, designed to raise your blood pressure causing you to make rash emotional decisions. Red is an emotional exciting color designed to get your attention, like stop signs.
   
   You never see green sale stickers (at least I don't). Greens and blues are calming colors designed to lower your heart rate and make you think logically, like road signs or other directional signs at stores.
   
   Hospitals are also in shades of green and blue, causing the people in them to be more calm. You never see a hospital with red or pink walls.

   YES!! They  can. I know for certain, when I am feeling out of sorts,I wear a bright colored dress and can immediately feel my mood lift. light blue makes me feel calm,and pink makes me feel happy.

   Yes I think so.  Green is calming and red can annoy or excite, i.e. heighten emotions.  Blue can appear cold and therefore possibly depressing; yellow can brighten the mood, make you smile.
   
   I find that wearing certain colours reflects my mood, or changes it when I put them on but I don't know why.  Does anyone out there know why?  Some sort of triggers in the perceptual area of the brain perhaps?  Interesting.

   Based on color therapy (chromatherapy), the colors of the spectrum are known to confer physical, mental and spiritual health benefits. Color therapy is rooted in ayurveda medicine, which affirms that the elements earth, wind, fire, water and ether are contained within the human body.

   I personally find myself as being more energetic in bright places, with bright colors... Energetic the the point of anxious to go out and play... So for me personally ?... That would leave me is a good mood... Dark slimey basements on the other hand ?... Not so happy to be there.

    Very much so. Green is a very soothing color. You will often see it recommended for bathrooms and bedrooms. Yellow is very energizing and is used in the living areas of homes.
    
    Red can actually stimulate your appetite. Color is one of the decorator's basic tools

    I do not know why but perhaps because a colour reflects a natural situation or has symbolic connotations.   Black: night   Yellow: sunshine  Blue: the sea etc.

    Colors are very important. They indicate the process of creation as well as the states of the mind.
    black is for Spirit
    red is for initiative
    yellow is for motivation
    green is for existence/nature/calmness
    blue is for dedication
    purple is for emotional
    white is for closure
