How can marijuana be legal for medicable purposes at the same time be federally illegal nationwide?

This paradox is weird for me to accept. Can America make up their minds on this issue?

Iburmaster, I'm still confused. This issue may just have too many ramifications to choose, either for or against. Thanks for the comment.

thanks dnd, I agree some aspects of the hesitation to legalize marijuana is from taxation. Some things you might not be able to tax. Being willing to lock people up and preventing employment is becoming a problem far worse than over taxing.

good view nightwork4, I agree the media and journalistic integrity is dumbing down America. The main contributing factor I think is incarceration which becomes more lucrative than legalizing pot.
