I think a lot of nations are racist because they don't have exposure to other cultures. A lot of European countries have pretty homogeneous populations. Now that the birthrate in these countries are too low to maintain a steady population and workforce these countries have eased restrictions on immigration. This shift in immigration policy has led to an influx of immigrants from different cultural backgrounds. This has led to some racial tension. It will take a while for some of the European countries to transition into multicultural societies. I think people would still be racist even if they weren't Christians. It takes a lot of work to reduce racism and this is going to take time.
