Will America go the way of the Roman Empire?

The America I grew up in is nothing like the America I live in at this time. Are those days numbered and will survive for say, the next hundred years?

If mainland USA goes under the influence of the USA in the South Paciffic could linger on for a long time. In some ways Japan owes its present existence to the USA and the same can be said for Australia. Then there's Hawaii.

So you are saying the US is intentionally not a democracy? What is the difference between a democracy and a republic? Democracy IS popular vote, it is up to the leaders to lead the public, not sit back and take payoffs from big business.
