Good answer, mattforte, it’s great to see that some people are awake! Yea, nobody gets away on the TV show COPS either. Like Mark twain said “If you don’t read the newspaper, you are uninformed. If you do read the newspaper, you are misinformed.”

Yes I would agree with the latter response. But hope exists even in the darkest moments, I have seen it personally. But again those people are the ones who really don't think things through or like you said don't care.

I believe you are meaning investment banks and not your regular banks. Although, they have done no harm. In investment, probable high return has high risk. It's that simple. Now madoffs are a different case.

The lotto has low investment and low risk versus bank robbery. Today communication is too rapid for the pros to outweigh the cons in robbing banks. We no longer live in the old days where robbing a bank was like stealing a piece of candy.

I believe partially in your response. I really wished that we had better mentoring for young adults so their lives can be shaped more positively. Because let's face it, poor parenting is only getting worse and without GENUINE guardianship, it's a g

Over 80% get caught and it would be higher but the ones who do get away is due to robbing banks that are in the middle of nowhere.

And hopefully their hearts stop unless they are part of the 80%+ that get caught. A thief is about the most worthless human being on this planet.

Some do it for this reason: some place to live. Some, just for the thrill of it. Others, because they are desperate for cash. Not worth the risk in the long run.
