Several Georgia state parks will be turned over to be managed by a private company in Florida. Is this the first step towards acquiring the land for development, turning these parks into private gated communities?
As far as I know, state parks can never be touched. That is the law that was written when they were planned. If an area has been deemed a state park, no one can touch it. They sometimes allow tree harvesting, but even then, it is very specific on what they can and can not do.
