    Myth in its roots is a tool used for teaching how form can to be. It takes the observer to a time of a setting more than likely of the past to contrast with the present. Examples are Zeus and Odin, Athena and Freja, and Thor and Ares were told as existing as before in history even when they were thought to be of existence. They were myths created to teach and explain human qualities or how form with life came to be. The mythical creatures are a result of human characteristics, qualities, and behaviors and why the world as a known at a point of history came to be.

    Most mythical creatures are rooted in things we understand. In other words, it has a head, feet, torso, eyes, mouth, etc. In a lot of the early days they were exaggerations of existing animals. Whales and squid were only seen in snippets, prompting wild tales of sea monsters. And artists, who never saw what the sailors saw, drew up truly amazing animals of the imagination.
