For those in tornado prone areas do you keep a storm kit handy? and what do you keep in it?

Yesterday, my boys and I had to take shelter due to a tornado warning. We expect these storms seasonally, but this is the first year we really put together a storm kit in a box. We did this after being hit by 90mph winds last year that felled a lot of our trees.   I'm sure we don't have nearly enough in our kit yet.  We keep our shoes on during warnings, our kit has batteries, radio, flashlights, candles, matches, work gloves, car phone charger and water.  Do you keep a storm kit ready? What do you put in it?

I keep a bug out bag to be used for any disaster, one for my husband, my self and and extra one for several others who may need help. We have two outfits undergarments, socks, food water, first aid kit, triage scissors, small slats for splints, flashlights, including head lamps, extra batteries, candles, fire starters, the kind for grills, work gloves and medical gloves, radio, a portable power source from amazon, for cell phones iPads act, towels wash cloths a bag of clean cloth cut in different sizes, plastic wear paper plates, cups, blankets, pillows, hoodies, and hats. Winter gear when appropriate, and a tool kit. It's in the closest under the stairs, could hold up there, or pull up to the front door for a quick load and be off. You just never know.

After these terrible storms with tornadoes, we are certainly going to start keeping one with a weather radio, flashlight and batteries. The news said to wear a good pair of shoes, bring your cell phone or tablet if you have one, wear a helmet, first aid kit. Our state is hit every year by tornadoes and where we have moved even closer to their normal destructive path. one can never be too careful. There were deaths.
