What is the Difference Between May be and Might be?

When we should use may be and might be in a sentence? I think both of these indicate possibility of a future event. But I can not understand the difference they make to the meaning of a sentence, if we use one instead of the other. For example, 'I may be there to help you' and 'I might be there to help you'. What is the exact difference between may be and might be? Please explain with example.
