Without thinking about it for too long or analyzing the figure on paper, I say the answer is simply 4.

This may perhaps be a bit of a stretch; however, isn't there 8 bits in a byte; thus half of 8 bits would be half a byte and it is called a nibble?

The 8 real coin or Spanish dollar, from which came "pieces of eight" when cut into quarters (25c each), So half would be 50c.

Excellent contribution to one of many answers...

This is the symbol for infinity on its side.

Half of infinity would be infinity.

It also looks like two zeroes kissing, one above the other. In a fraction, 0/0 is considered by purists to be "undefined." But I explored in a hub on numbers the possibility that 0/0 indicates a connection between 0, 1 and infinity.

In college calculus class, the teacher once wrote on the board a function and the derivative of that same function. Then he graphed the derivative. The resultant graph still gives me goose bumps. It showed a line at the x-axis, except a discontinuity at x=0. At that point, the value of y was +/- infinity. Why goose bumps? It took me awhile to understand, but my experiences with miracles gave me my answer: At all values of Ego other than zero, the being has zero direct control over the physical universe (control only through physical methods). At zero Ego, the being has infinite control over physical reality.

Wow. So the Person with no Ego has ultimate control.

Instead of saying the obvious, I am going to say either a whole ring or a broken ring.

How about C - I - (backward C means - Latin, Unicode, ANSI, math, etc.)

Well, if you turned "8" 90 degrees, you would have infinity.

If you were to do that, then what is half of infinity?

Arguably, "0" if you think of infinity as including both negative and positive numbers equally.

It's a bit of a stretch though :)

Another amazing contribution... Way to go!

Well, If one were to tear the page in half then the answer would be 3.

If one tore it in half horizontally, it would be 0.
