What are the factors that make children in large families(6 or more children per family) to be

moderate to low academic achievers? Studies confirm that children in large families tend to be low academic achievers as the large family environment is often an impoverished one which emphasizes just providing for the rudiments w/anything else being considered unnecessary. In large families, there is little/ no parental interaction w/children;children raise & teach themselves &each other. Because of impoverishment, there are no books &other forms of intellectual stimulation in large family households. Also in large family households, academic achievement is not valued, even derided.
