Just wondering what it must be like and how prepared do you think the many are in the path of this terrible storm? Do you have warnings and help there already?

I forgot about you being up there Bob! Keep us informed & don't forget candles in coffee cans will make mini heaters in a pinch! I once cooked wieners & beans over a candle during a blizzard but I nearly froze! A bed full of quilts would not
I hope they have done enough to keep it manageable; stay safe shoveling that snow!
Oh surely the government would take care of the homeless? Shamefully I never thought of that! Churches or organizations would surely gather them up? Is there back up there for power outages?
Of course, however in New York City it is a crime for us citizens to give to the homeless. Churches & charities will see that the homeless are warm. Let's hope that there is backup for power outages.
I used to live in New York and blizzards were the norm but now I'm up in New England, which usually gets hit harder and they were definitely right! It was easy doing clean up in NY but here with much larger driveway, it's a huge task!
Oh I know gm; they have made it a crime almost everywhere! I suppose to the government it is like feeding the pigeons and you are just encouraging them to stay around! (Dday is not far off!)
