It seems like to me lately, science teachers are obstructed by numerous obstacles from getting the core message (i.e. science knowledge/education) to the students. our students go through 12 years of primary education and yet still can't correctly answer simple questions about their own anatomy. I have a friend who is a TA for an anatomy lab, and many of her students couldn't correctly even write 'kneecap' on a practical exam where the question pointed to the bone (ok it's technically the patella, but most students left it blank or guessed something wrong like 'rock bone'). What is going on???
