Why IS it so difficult for religionists to live and let live in terms of religious/spiritual/ethical

philosophy? Why MUST they insist in a homogeneous form of religious belief, oftentimes even going as far to proselytize those whom they contend that because of divergent, even diametrical religious/ethical/spiritual beliefs that the latter are "in error", "sinners", or "nonbelievers"?
