It depends. Marine biologists have a pretty similar routine as what I do (I'm an Ornithologist). If you are interested in studying marine organisms, a marine biologist is a perfect job! Just note that you will be traveling often, due to that their are many ocean creatures around the world, work days may be longer and may be extended into weekends, and studying marine animals is also a very time-consuming process so it helps to be patient. You will often conduct DNA and blood experiments, conducting conservation programs, and you also might find yourself chasing turtles or fish around the ocean. The income depends on where you work and what organism(s) you are studying, however the average salary is around $79,800. If you are aiming to become a marine biologist, then enjoy studying these fascinating creatures!
