If There is No End to Time......
If there is no end to time, does this mean that infinitesimally unlikely events may occur - something like pigs flying?
We can't be guaranteed of there being no end to time, and the weird thing is that theory suggests it began with the Big Bang, in addition to space being created (i.e there was no "before" and no "where", just nothing, not even a void of empty space)
It's possible that, somewhere, sometime, flying pigs existed. But it is certainly a small probability. It's hard to say whether or not time is infinite because we're operating off a very limited range of data. The big bang is just as far back as we can see in our current universe. Anything could have happened before it or so far away that we would never be able to see it. So finding a beginning or an ending, may always elude us.
A theory that makes sense is that time begins with the big bang and ends at the big crunch. Space, time, and matter are all connected to an extent that one is dependent on the other, and one cannot exist without the other. At the very beginning there was just one singular "area" within which all the matter that matters was condensed. The infinite pressure caused by the previous big crunch reached its limit and gave way to the big bang, triggering off the "unwinding." Space was being churned out to accommodate matter that was uncompressing itself. The sequence of these happenings is realized as time. So if time does not exist, the sequence cannot exist either. If the sequence does not exist, matter cannot either. So this thing goes on and on with neither a beginning nor an end. Time simply keeps refreshing when a new event occurs. So it is most likely that the same things that have happened and are going to happen have already happened in the previous "event," and these events will keep on happening "forever!" ... Depending on the period of time that occurs between the big bang and the big crunch, unlikely events may or may not occur, and if it does, it will not be governed by the laws that cover the big bang and the big crunch. Well, that is the way I see it and of course there could be a better explanation by somebody who has fathomed this concept better!
My concept of time is is that it is is synonymous with change - So a clock ticks, something moves through space, animate objects age and die, inanimate objects are eroded away..... If nothing changes, does time still pass?
pigs may fly one day when humans create wings for them, nothing is impossible as long technology advances
In my opinion buddy it's right what you say about time being synonymous with change, & for me our solar system is a gigantic clock ticking away creating imaginary time..I only say imaginary because if we wasn't here to record/observe time/change there wouldn't be any perceivable time, & so in my opinion perceivable time only started when mankind appeared..As to the scientists theory about there being nothing in the beginning, if you philosophise for long enough using pure logic as your guide, you'll find that it's impossible to have nothing because nothing doesn't actually exist..For there to be nothing in the beginning there also "has" to be something because they both define each others existence, & one can't exist without the other..So in the beginning there "had" to be something "&" nothing, & so it's obvious to me that we appeared/we're created from the something not the nothing..Nothing is just space, space for things the somethings..I know it sounds bizarre but in my opinion the beginning is yet to come, & what we're experiencing is the "before" the beginning. :-)

What lies beyond the edge of the universe?Everything has its boundary and end point. I know universe is not a brick or something to have a particular side or boundary.. But it should have an end point.. And if so.. Then there should be something beyond this and that has their own boundary and so...

If nothing can only produce nothing, how did our universe start from nothing without God? There are many unanswered questions in the science and astronomy fields. Since these fields can not have God as an answer, they toss out data that disproves their belief about a Creator. Actually a Creator...

Okay, I admit I am an advocate of the big bang theory. It sounds as close as we can possibly come so far to how the Universe was formed, created, made, whatever. My question is... if everything that came into existence, every element needed to form the other elements and particles and...
