HHmmm, I'm not sure that plastic decomposes at all. There have been attempts at decomposing plastic bags, but to date nothing has really worked.
There is talk online about a new process just developed by a teenager, (http://www.mnn.com/green-tech/research-innovations... and if so, this could be a breakthrough.
We really do need to find a solution to the plastics problem.
