   There are two scenarios in which time travel is possible:
   1. Any travel back in time is part of the existing continuum, so no one can change history, but their visit is already part of history.
   2. Traveling back in time creates an alternate timeline/universe, and all your actions are in that timeline. Then you aren't violating the flow of your history but part of the history of another timeline.
   Anything else violates the laws of physics.

   No human in the primitive stages of mankind  possibly ever thought there would come a time man will be able to fly in the air, or be able to travel at high speeds without been on foot through several miles to get to a destination but here we are today wirhe sports cars, boats, bikes and airplanes. Though time traveling will mean a lot to affect the way we live, the course of history and make it somewhat unreliable, there hasn't been any published, verified, authenticated and reliable research Popular enough which proves Time travel is either possible or not. And for now, all that humanity is dealing with are various approaches to such a possibility but through fiction. And thats all one can definitely be sure of. But lets hope we all live long enough to know the truth at the time it will be due

   Yes and no traveling forward yes going back no. For instance have you seen the movie Interstellar? The closer you are to a black hole the faster time passes by you without affecting you age so if you could get close enough to a black hole and stay there for a day it is very possible that 100 years past on earth. Just food for thought.
