We have seen huge migrations away from hideous war zones. Every country on the earth is now involved in a continuous battle with extremists. Isn't this really WW3? Are governments in denial about WW3? Are they in denial because it's "bad for the economy" unlike past wars?

It's difficult to deal with a widespread crazy quasi cult. It is a bit unique and hard to grapple. Maybe new insect sized bots will get em.
It feels like a slow burn kind of war. A bit like the old historical "hundred years war" which dragged on forever.
Thanks Alexis for those thoughts. It could be a Claytons war: "the war you have when you're not really having a war"(like the Claytons non alcohol drink: the drink you have when you're not having a drink):)
