I'm in California, the boom sound vibrated the floor and windows, and then there's a rolling effect after the boom sound. It last happened in January 2016 early in the morning approximately 9 a.m.- 11 a.m. Pacific Standard time.

They would likely only go supersonic at a high enough altitude that you wouldn't hear the engines. They'd get way too many complaints otherwise, especially if they did it multiple times in a populated area.
I would hear them take off and land.They have to build altitude to get that high. I am so close to the airport that I hear them start up.
