The irreplaceable pictures hits home. In 2004 Hurricane Ivan hit the Cayman Islands as a category 5 hurricane. My family and everybody else lost so much, but one of those things that keeps coming up is pictures. Such treasures.
I have a picture organizer box with about 3000+ pictures in it and that was in my list of things to grab.
People and pets are a given. I wouldn't expect you to leave loved ones or pets behind. :-)
That's too funny! I am as much of a thrill-seeker or storm-chaser as the next person, but I don't think I would sit and watch the tornado. No under-ground shelter?
Was SIN cards a typo? If not, what are those exactly?
She probably meant SIM cards from her many cell phones.
No, not a typo! You know the cards you get that have your social insurance number on them? Is that not a thing there? haha
Nope, we don't have SIN cards here like Canada. Some people have Medicare, Medicaid cards, or food stamp cards, but that's about it. I usually keep them in my wallet. When I have my wallet, I have everything I need except keys/phone.
I've had to bring my SIN card in for a couple of jobs that I've started for paperwork purposes but otherwise they're pretty useless. I'm sure a tax return would suffice too. We also have health care cards and insurance cards to haul around!
