Is a nuclear world war about to start?

A huge nuclear war will allow Donald to impose martial law and imprison critics. He has tasted his first "good" publicity since bombing Syria and may want more.
Is a fantastic war in his best political interest?

    Not over NK... no.

War perhaps... depending on what the America - China relationship is after their latest meeting.  If America is going to essentially back out of the Asian sphere of influence in favor of China, then it is almost essential to do away with NK for both parties.

Until NK is done away with, America still has an obligation to stay in the region and defend SK, remember we are at an armistice with NK this war has essentially been going on since the 50s.

If America plans on staying in the region, then there will be no war, unless NK is dumb enough to instigate one by attacking American ships or bases.

NK is the excuse America needs to stay in SK, and Japan, and act as a 'deterrent' against NK's hostile intentions.

      Interesting answer Ken.
The USA military seems to be reaching a consensus about a pre emptive strike. With two unstable leaders (Kim and Don) the chances are very high for nuclear war. Sad.

You over estimate NK's ability.  They might be able to blow themselves up with a Nuke, that's about the extent of it.  They could never get a missile 1mile past their borders unless we wanted to allow it.  NK exists because we allow it, always has.

Of course we are all hoping both tyrants are too attached to their wealth and hookers to actually destroy their glam  parties.

When leaders stare over the abyss and pay more attention to shouting than to listening, there is every chance that someone will stumble.  One good stumble might be all it will take to kill hundreds of thousands of those people they both claim that they are "merely protecting."  A nuclear war on the Korean peninsula would involve some major protagonists in addition to NK and the USA, making millions of lives at risk (if not civilization as we know it._
If I had to predict war or no war, right now I would predict war brought on by two proud and stubborn narcissists.

I agree. This is a rare time in recent history with such bizarre "leaders" in the hot seat. Only their fear of losing their respective hooker stables will save us.
