Clouds are not as though they are suspended in midair as they are, for example, on mobiles. They are made up of water in their gasous form. Sunlight grabs this water from the oceans and lakes around the world, and, needing a place to put this water, forms clouds. Rain happens when there is to much water in an individual cloud, making all the water there drop down to the earth. An example of this is when you are carrying too many things than your capasity, and you accidnetally drop them all. Has this ever happen to you? This can be linked to the way rain falls down as parcipitation.
