4 fingers and one thumb. One of the fingers being distinguished by the individuality of wearing a wedding ring.

My first language is german and for answering the question ...

this hand has got 5 fingers. Sure, only 4 are named as fingers but even a thumb is per definition a short, thick digit of a human hand.

It looks more like a woman's hand. Four fingers and one thumb. - English. Such fingers are typical to artist or one having such capabilities.

I would say that there is a pinky, three fingers, and a thumb, on the hand.

Going from left to right on that picture; Pinky, Ring Finger, Middle Finger, Index Finger, and a Thumb.

    First Language is English.

I can clearly see five fingers. We humans have 5 fingers on one hand, one of which also happen to be a special finger, called a thumb.

    Swahili is my first language.

It looks normal hand so I can only count four fingers. That is trick question and you just asked fingers not thumb to my idea. Somali is my first language.

Dear friend, there are many ways of skinning a rat. The single fact is that the cat always gets skinned. So look at this. A finger (1), fingers (more than one), hand. Its also important to note that a thumb is also a finger for that matter. (accounting philosophy - for more about numbers you can contact me on ronala88@hotmail.com)

    Numbers:

The starting number s zero if you want to take all fingers as a hand.

They can also be zero because they seem to be for one person (basing on what paring idea)

One finger if you make a pair of four fingers leaving only one finger unpaired.

You can also say two fingers. Pair fingers on the hand into two and remain with only one (Finger).

If you pair three and two finger - you get two fingers without a balance.

They can also be five fingers because you have a collection of five fingers

Remember one plus one  is always two but one plus one can also be one  in marriage yet it can also be three (with of spring) or even infinite with uncountable numbers depending on the number of off springs.

Are you referring to that which can be seen, or which cannot be seen? The sound of silence is deafening. What I can see, however, is a bad case of rickets. The bones have softened from an inadequate intake of vitamin D and reformed, plus an insufficient exposure to sunlight. This can be corrected by a change in diet even though the owner of the hand has reached adulthood.
    First language: French

The four fingers and thumb make up the hand in the photograph.   As previous said, there are no fingers 'in' the hand, they're part of it: viz, back of palm (back of hand) plus back of fingers.

My first (and only) language is English.
