Bulletproof School Supplies

Updated on August 13, 2014

Protect Your Child

Until a few months ago I had never heard of the term "bulletproof school supplies". I was really shocked as I watched a TV news show demonstrate teachers holding up white boards That would protect them from bullets and watching as students placed shields in their backpacks as a defense against a gunman that may try to attack them. Fellow classmate or stranger its all the same. No one wants to be faced with the thought of a mentally disturbed person with a gun trying to shoot and kill their child while they are simply getting an education.

With tragedy's like Sandy Hook Elementary and the numerous other school shootings that have occurred parents have become very concerned about their child's safety. These inserts fit into a backpack and it can absorb multiple magazines of ammunition from any handgun or shotgun without ricochet or injury.

There are no survival guarantees when it comes to being shot at. Like wearing a seat belt in a car wreck, it's a major survival advantage versus not having anything at all for cover or protection. The bullet stopping protection from the following products might just save a life.

Body armor companies are having a surge of sales for bulletproof backpacks following the Sandy Hook Elementary School, in Newtown, Connecticut massacre.

The backpacks are large enough to protect your child's vital organs and could mean the difference between life and death in a school shooting.

Do You think your child needs a backpack like this?

Teachers Need Protection Too

Teachers are in the same kind of danger when a gunman enters a school intent on hurting someone. These whiteboards are great protection in an emergency. Some schools are now purchasing one for every classroom that can be used as shields in the event of a school shooting.

In an emergency this board is great protection from gunfire.

Wow, amazing idea. But it's sad that it's come to this. When my daughter starts school in a couple of years I will definitely be looking into these. Thanks for sharing!
