Updated on January 18, 2015

Sting Theory Says We Live In A Multi-Dimensional World

String Theory in the science world, strives to understand and explain exactly how the world exists. Want to know more about String Theory? Eleven dimensions, parallel universes, and a world made out of strings. It's not science's String Theory! You might really enjoy this information about this much debated theory.

"Since string theory is widely believed to be a consistent theory of quantum gravity, many hope that it correctly describes our universe, making it a theory of everything." ~~Wikipedia

A Capella Science - Bohemian Gravity!

Canadian physics grad student Tim Blais uses music to explain string theory with the help of an Einstein sock puppet.

Blais music video which explains the concept of string theory has attracted the attention of Queen guitarist Brian May, who happens to hold a PhD in astrophysics.

"At its most basic level, string theory, also known as the ‘theory of everything,’ proposes that all objects in our universe are composed of vibrating filaments (strings) and membranes of energy."

A First Course In String Theory

An accessible introduction to string theory by Barton Zwiebach, with a detailed and self-contained demonstration of the main concepts involved.

"A refreshingly different approach to string theory that requires remarkably little previous knowledge of quantum theory or relativity."Professor Michael Green, University of Cambridge

More Info About String Theory

"Einstein was simply ahead of his time. More than half a century later, his dream of a unified theory has become the Holy Grail of modern physics. And a sizeable part of the physics and mathematics community is becoming increasingly convinced that string theory may provide the answer. From one principle-that everything at its most microscopic level consists of combinations of vibrating strands-string theory provides a single explanatory framework capable of encompassing all forces and all matter." ~Brian Greene

hi, I know that reality is so much more than just what we can see, I know from my experiences.

I love how Brian Greene makes quantum physics, string theory, etc. so accessible to the layperson. I've watched his interviews, The Elegant Universe, and The Fabric of the Cosmos multiple times, plus Einstein's Big Idea, etc. Yeah, I'm a nerd. :-)
