Fall / Autumn Posters
Fall / Autumn Posters
Fall posters make a lovely, colorful display in the classroom. They make excellent talking points for the children. They also open up the world for young children who may have never seen a snowshoe hare transitioning between his Summer and Winter coat or snow geese flying in a V formation. Learn more about plants and animals in Fall by looking at these beautiful posters.
Here in Australia we don't have many native deciduous trees (See some Tasmanian deciduous beech pictures), but we are blessed to be able to grow many of the deciduous trees from the northern hemisphere in our gardens and parks. I love the variety of colors of Autumn leaves!
Take a tour of nature with these delightful Fall posters and pictures.
Fall / Autumn Leaves Posters
One of the first things we think of when we think of the season, Fall, is the beautiful colored leaves on deciduous trees. We love the reds, oranges, yellows and browns which mark this season.
And of course we have the job of cleaning up the leaves.

Some animals, such as squirrels and mice, collect nuts or seeds to store for the Winter months when food can be scarce.
Some animals get thicker coats to help them cope with the colder Winter months. Some animals, like the weasel or snowshoe hare, may even change the color of their coats so that they can be camouflaged in the snow.

Moose start to lose the velvet off their antlers in the Fall. Autumn is the mating season for moose (called the rut). After the mating season, the antlers will drop off (in late Autumn or early Winter). Their antlers will start to regrow again in the Spring.
Fall Fruits and Vegetables Pictures and Posters
It's easy to forget that fruit and vegetables have seasons, when many seem to be available to us most of the year round. One good way to teach children about which fruit and vegetables are in season to to establish a children's vegetable garden. These posters and pictures will also show some of the fruit and vegetables in season during Fall.
