    There's definitely been a change and it's pretty much correlated to the amount of humans inhabiting this planet. How much and how are the questions up for debate.

    I think it would be rather arrogant of us to think that we are the sole cause of any kind of climate change.  Yes, I believe that as the caretakers of the earth, in the past, we have done a pretty crappy job, but it seems we are getting better in that area.  I don't believe we have any significant control at all of whats going on.

    This is such a tough topic. I found a well written article by NASA that quantifies some of the energies involved. What strikes me most is the quote of average watts per square meter arriving at the TOP of the Earths atmosphere.

    "Averaged over the entire planet, the amount of sunlight arriving at the top of Earth’s atmosphere is only one-fourth of the total solar irradiance, or approximately 340 watts per square meter."

    I really think humans caused global warming/climate change because mans activities are largely responsible for it.

    I've always wondered why we don't try to recreate the biosphere of the Carboniferous period.  Surely the flora and fauna of that era deserve to be saved.
