If there was no life after this one, would people strive as hard to be "good"?
You know that is really sort of an interesting question. If no life after this one was absolute then religion wouldn't exist. Then the sheep wouldn't have purpose and chaos would take over. Only non believers would continue striving to live a good life. I am being extreme but it does open many cans of worms. To answer the question, I would say yes they would continue to live a good life, or at least I would like to think so.
I think people who are good are that way because they care about their fellow human beings, not for what they can selfishly get out of it. So, it doesn't matter either way.
I try to be good and make the right choices for myself, not any religion or promised reward. This is partly why I stopped believing in any kind of deity/ god.

Does a person start dying at the moment of birth? Or, does a person start dying at the moment of...conception? Or, do we start to die after we reach our physical peak, which is reached at about the age of 25? Some say that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they look at death...is that...

Why is it so hard to find employees when so many are jobless? Is it my fault or something else? I've been trying to find employees for a part time position. The job averages $15 an hour and 20 hrs a week. Yet very few people respond back to the add. I have had two people quit the position in a month...
